Sequoia Emerging Markets Finance is a US company created by four infrastructure and energy finance professionals with more than a century of combined experience in emerging economies. Jointly they have developed and closed more than US$5 billion of complex infrastructure and energy projects in the most difficult business environments, which have generated both good returns for private investors and infrastructure and infrastructure services to the host countries.
Sequoia Emerging Markets Finance main activities are in Africa and subsidiary, in Asia and Latin America. Its Managing Directors have a total of more than one hundred years of experience in emerging markets, and particularly in Africa, allowing cross-fertilization between their Asian, Latin American and African experience.
The Strength of Sequoia Emerging Markets Finances is that several of its Managing Directors have:
- Direct first-hand successful experience in infrastructure finance structuring, privatizations, PPP and IPPs acquired as financing decision makers at senior level (and not only advisor) for private and public sector investments.
- Held senior or management positions in IFIs, where they gained a unique understanding of their financing mechanisms, instruments and procedures.
- Advised as representatives of Development Partners senior policy makers for energy sector strategy formulation in more than sixty countries in Africa, Asia, Near and Middle East and Latin America.
